Is there any way to use the Anker 655 USB-C Hub with a laptop that doesn't have USB-C ports?

My parents recently heard be complain about how I needed a hub and very graciously got me one as a present... except they got me the Anker 655 and my laptop doesn't have a USB-C port. They bought it for me while I was hospitalized and surprised me once I was out, so the return date? is long past.

Given the fact that it was a present and that I might buy a new laptop at some point, I plan on keeping the hub. However, I would really like to actually use it while I have it. Honestly, I just need the extra USB A ports for my keyboard and mouse, so I'm not too worried about how the display ports might not work if the hub isn't connected directly to my laptop.

I've tried googling and searching this sub but the general consensus seemed to be split between "no" and "it depends on the product," so I figured I could ask y'all for suggestions for this specific hub.

Thank you in advance!
