Cloud Save Issue: Cause and Temporary Fix

Hello there! I assume you're having as issue transferring your Usagi Shima save from 1 device to another. Don't worry, you didn't forget to turn on Cloud Save, its still there.

The issue is a Google-side issue, and it affects multiple games, if you wish to read more, see: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/322846981

I have asked Jess about implementing a saving system similar to Tsuki's Odyssey, but it would take months for it to be implemented, if it does get planned to be added.

But don't worry, there's a workaround around discovered!

  • Uninstall and re-install the Google Play Games app (unsure if this step is truly required but thats what the original person who found the fix did)
  • Open the Google Play Games app
  • Clear the Google Play Games data in your phone settings
  • Clear the Google Play services data in your phone settings
  • Clear Usagi Shima's data to trigger the cloud save menu again. (This step may be unnecessary if you never progressed the game pass the Cloud Save screen)
