The year is 2019. The place is the capital of the state of California, Sacramento. The setting is beginning of a new season for the Kings, the local NBA team, who appear to be moving away from the failures of yesteryear a forging a new path to greatness. It started with the firing of Head Coach Dave Joerger, and the hiring of a replacement in in Luke Walton. Walton is a hire that is questioned at the time, but ultimately, the fanbase remains loyal to the GM, Vlade Divac. No more will there be blunders and screwups in the FO, we all said. Our team will be able to do things now. We signed great players like Trevor Ariza and Dewayne Dedmon for depth. We gave huge contracts to Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes. We are making the playoffs and nothing can stop us we all thought. Then we started the season 0-5, killing any and all expectations of success this season. Then the Kings became good again, rattling off several impressive victories and once again instilling foolish optimism for the future. This is the Kings tho, so we eventually fell apart yet again. Who is to blame? Virtually everyone.
VLADE
This guy is the worst GM in the league hands down. From boneheaded trades to relieve cap space, to passing on a generational talent due to "need" to signing washed up free agents in an attempt to improve the team.
VIVEK
I will forever be grateful for Vivek Ranadive's role in keeping the Kings in Sacramento. Which is why it hurts me to say this: Sell. The. Team. You are incapable of not meddling with the organization. You need to go so that your cronies can also be cleansed like Matina K.
LUKE
I don't blame Luke as much due to Vlade and Vivek, but he's more stubborn than Joerger. His rotations suck too.
ALL PLAYERS EXCEPT FOX AND HOLMES
Fox is going to be a superstar within 2 years. Holmes is the second coming of Jesus Christ. Everyone else either sucks or is inconsistent. Especially Buddy Hield.
This dumpster fire of a team can't even fulfill the meager wishes of the best fanbase in the league. All we want is a playoff spot. It's been 13 years since we made it. Please? Who am I kidding, this iteration of LOLKANGZ will be lucky to hit .500. I hate this team, I hate my parents for moving to Sacramento and hooking me on the NBA, and I hate myself for not abandoning ship when I had the chance. Any success this team has is crushed and buried where no one can find it. Existence is pain, and Go Kings.
