I'm not sure if there are any shows dedicated specifically to urban/suburban homesteading. But, recently I watched a show on Netflix called "Big Dreams, Small Spaces" where a couple tried to grow a lot of food in a pretty small back yard with the "help" of a professional. Episode 4 if you're interested in checking it out.
In the end, I feel like they could have done a better job maximizing their potential harvest by pulling some of the weeds or mulching, but I did find a few ideas helpful... mainly the one about attaching gutters to fence posts to grow strawberries stacked vertically. They did have two small children, so I gotta cut them some slack cause I know how it is trying to get gardening work done with kids sometimes.
Anyway, I'm interested in more shows on the topic of urban homesteading or maximizing yields in small spaces. Any ideas?
