Welcome to the August 2018 edition of the monthly discussion thread here on /r/UrbanHomestead . All subscribers are encouraged to take part in the conversation, beginners and more experienced folk alike. No matter how far alone you are on your urban homesteading journey, we want to hear about it!
This month's topic is fall gardening. Those of us in the northern hemisphere are quickly approaching the harvest season, but we are also beginning to put in our fall gardens.
- What kind of plants have you had success with in the fall?
- Do you use any season extension methods to draw out the harvest?
- Any particular tasks that you take care of during this time of year?
Let us know in the comments below.
Feel free to use this thread as open discussion on any topic related to homesteading as well. We like to have a general focused topic for each month, but it's totally fine if users have questions or comments not directly related to the focused topic.
