Welcome to the monthly discussion thread here at /r/UrbanHomestead !

Since the inception of this subreddit four years ago, we've attracted over 5,000 people who want to learn about homesteading on a small scale. Whether it's about growing food, taking care of animals, making useful products or just reducing one's ecological footprint, we're all here to learn and share our experiences doing these things without a lot of land and/or space.

That said, we want our readers to have a place to discuss their various in-progress (or completed) projects with the rest of the community. In this thread, you can post pictures, ask questions, give advice or just updated everyone on what you've got going on in your /r/UrbanHomestead journey.

So this will be our first monthly discussion thread. If you have any questions or advice to make it (or just the sub in general) better for our subscribers, please feel free to post a comment here. In the future, these we may try to give each monthly thread a particular topic to discuss. For now, please introduce yourself and share anything you're comfortable sharing about why you're here.
