New Weekly Thread style
Post Body
This week we're going to be trying a slightly different format for the Weekly AMA/AEA thread. We've found that with the mod coverage we have, trying to organize around a standard day is very difficult (and in the case of the past 2 weeks, impossible), so we're going to try this week a weekly discussion thread. One of us will pick a topic and brain dump what we know on it, and reach out to experts we know inviting them to post as well, and cross post to other relevant subreddits.
We'll sticky the post from Sunday - Saturday as the weekly thread. We're hoping this leads to:
- More people having the time to comment and discuss, at some point during the week.
- Less stress on any one mod to keep up with the weekly thread.
- A more relaxed timeline for our experts to chime in on.
Does this sound good to everyone? Any ideas to make it better? Also, what would you like to see tomorrow? Some ideas would be:
- Home soap making.
- Home canning - preserving your harvest.
- Home brewing - a continuation of our previous fermentation thread.
Or suggest your own!
