Does upwork absolutely require a photo?

With over 20 years spent online, 12 of that working remote IT roles, I am a bit of a stickler when it comes to online security and one of the things that I never do is put my picture online.
Currently there exists exactly 0 pictures of me online.
I am not paranoid, just hate the idea that anyone can take a picture off the internet and use it in anyway they want.

Would not having a picture be bad?
