I'm approaching six months this October with my client, an IT MSP, where I provide technical support for desktop issues, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and more. My current rate is $9 per hour, compared to another IT MSP client who pays me $14 per hour. I'd like to propose a new contract that raises my hourly rate from $9 to $12.
Is a $3 increase reasonable? If the client declines, what should I do? Could they remove me from the organization? I'd appreciate your advice on how to secure this increase, given my strong performance.
