It's seeming more likely now that the majority of Ontario residents will have their second dose by the end of August, which is nice. But UofT can't guarantee that international and out-of-province students will be vaccinated... so how are they going to go back to in-person learning? Am I missing something here, or did the school just not say anything about how it's going to deal with non-residents?
Dual delivery systems are a nice idea but it's awful of them to provide in-person learning to one group while just doing remote learning for everyone else. Plus, dual delivery hasn't really been tested well. It's looking more and more like it will be "in-person for Ontario residents, remote learning for everyone else." But the more I think about that, the more awful an idea it is. As someone who's coming back to UofT in the fall I would prefer a robust, improved online system rather than an untested and unequal dual delivery one. Especially since dual delivery is likely to be a disaster for people who rely on accessibility accommodations (like me).
What do people think is going to happen?
