I’ve come to know quite a bit of international students at uoft and I’m always surprised to see them going here there and everywhere taking one week vacations during reading week to Cancún, going to Europe for the weekend , or whatever. It surprises me the lifestyle that they live (except the ones who are on a scholarship I’ve known some internationals who don’t come from money and they are here on a scholarship) but for those who are not here on a scholarship and your parents are paying for it all, after I saw how much international tuition is here my mouth dropped and knowing how expensive rent is in Toronto and how much it costs to live here, I just have to ask, how do your parents afford it? What do they do for a living ? Please forgive me if I sound rude or instructive but this has been something that has interested me for the longest as I am a domestic student and not in that situation.
Thank you so much and please forgive me for any problems this may have caused.
