UofT has been hard on me this semester. I had to spend weeks and weeks non-stop in Robarts and thus had to get my food from the foodcourt most of the time and more specifically not from the Mexican food court side. I got to know the workers in the location and was friendly with them. During a week where I was bombarded with course work I also had my birthday but because of the coursework I couldn’t celebrate it nor had the opportunity to remember it. My parents did and sent me a birthday cake from a local supplier while they were back in home country. I was happy with this and thought I could share the cake with my friends while we were at Robarts. I brought the cake to Robarts but unfortunately there were no utensils in the cake packaging. I thought that I could get it from the foodcourt. I went down and picked up 5 forks from the cashier side of the foodcourt, then I was met with an agressive worker in the foodcourt. They told me how that wasn’t allowed and could get as many forks as people. I brought my friends with me to pick them up, this time I was met with a more aggresive tone from the same worker. I explained the situation they told me they didn’t care. I offered to pay for the utensiIs, I offered to get food for my friends and get the ytensils like that. They told me to get out and thatvwas it. I then had to throw the cake away at the end. My whole mood was fuckong done for. Was I the asshole in this situation.
