Questions and Clearing the air on Transfering Credits / Class Quality / Curriculum Duration
Post Body

Hello! I have a few questions I'd need some answers to and your opinions on. I have NOT enrolled to Uopeople just yet but, I am currently going through Sophia.or/Study.com to garner some transferrable credits. I've been scrolling through the subreddit when I found out that some people suggest to not do a good portion of classes through Sophia and such. Such as Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, and the core classes. Now, I planned on doing the core classes and the CS electives at Uopeople (I think Im more excited to do the electives more lmao). I also heard that speed running your degree is not a good idea either. Ideally, doing at least 2 years looks better than lets say 1 year and a half. I dont have a problem doing that either. I already have a job in the field, I just want to further my education and strive for my Masters/PHD.

I wanted to ask how does some transferrable classes fare vs classes in Uopeople in terms of Quality, is it better to do some classes in Uopeople rather than transfer? What classes is best done on Uopeople?

I also understand that some of the instructors are not the best and that is why made me decide to try and do almost 75% of the classes as transferrable credits. I dont know how things are now, so some insight would be greatly appreciated.

Did anyone find it difficult with finish the curriculum too early when it came to looking for grad school?

Lastly, I do have my eyes set on switching to Uopeople but, Id like to know if there are other options I can take these transferrable credits, maybe someone has looked just to see what the competitions are. Again, I am still looking towards Uopeople, I am just worried about instructors, or how slow advisors can be at responding, and the issues with credibility as well. Uopeople did hook me with the low cost and the shorter time to finishing a bachelors compared to other schools. Thanks so much for all the info. I do hope this also helps other people that have had similar issues!
