I need to remember, because I keep forgetting that you ghosted me after the love and connection we built. I need to remember that we trusted each other with our deepest secrets and darkest shadows, and yet one day you went cold until I never heard from you again. I need to remember that everyday you choose to let this estrangement continue. I need to remember to choose myself and not chase someone who has the power to turn around, face me, and love me back, but chooses not to. I need to remember that you treated me unkindly, and were inconsiderate of my feelings. You have walked away from me after I only gave you true love, care and friendship. I need to remember that I don’t want you. But I keep forgetting.
