In my quiet moments, when I need a safe space to go, I remember you with your arms around me and the kiss you laid on my head. The peace and comfort in that moment. The love I felt in that moment.

Time showed that it didn’t flow both ways and we haven’t spoken in some time. But what I felt for you was real. Pure. Good. True. And I’ll hold onto that memory. I’ll use it as a guide to find the one who can reciprocate those beautiful things to me that I felt for you then.
