You knew what would happen in the aftermath. I saw it coming. The rushed packing, punching my back as you screamed how much you hated me and how I ruined love for you, the ultimatum of getting a hotel or getting a train ticket, the silence as I walked out the door. Even through all of that you’re still my goddess. I shed the saltiest tears for you on a daily basis and how much I failed you, how much I should have listened, should have grown to be the man you fell in love with. I’m begging you, please let me in, let me fix this. I want to come home.
