Extrusive and expressively profound

Yet errosive from the nature from which I'm abound

Thank you for your deposit of sedimentary clay Take a walk, take a load off, and let me better your day

I am the rock The stone The foundation so secure

But less is known about the faults I must endure

They not mine nor yours, wholly Time is to blame solely

Use me to stand up, walk tall, see afar
In an open space, forward you face and gaze under the stars

All are welcome to this concession Be my guest, it's my identity of profession But alas, my friends, I am subject to compression

The weight of the world rests within my strata And not a one of you noticed the damage? Abrasions pro rata?

It's not awareness that you lack. But, did you ever stop to look that even a rock has a crack?

I am strong, I am sturdy, I am steady per se I do not move I do not budge

From a place of permanence I'll say,

"Although I remain irrevocably pertinent it gets lonelier everday. Solidarity is what I lack, now do you know why there are cracks? Or did you step upon my face with a second thought? I told you, it is not my fault."

Unsturdy ground! You igneous clown!

Walk carefully and tread with care You'll be gone by tomorrow but I'll always be there

To make you rise up and dare to have a better day
