An open letter,

I’m so lonely. A physical crippling cold under my beating heart.

Alone I stand against a bigger blizzard. Alone I fight in my thoughts. Alone in this pain.

Yet there is kindling for a fire.

A shared solitude. Alone are others. Alone against their own trials. Challenges that make our hearts pure-experienced in pain, so we may guide others against their own storms.

I yearn to share this grit with others who understand what it’s like to be alone. A reminder that good people go through hard weather. Against our own loneliness.
