What happened to 11 yr old Trudy Appleby, of Moline, IL?? Missing since 1996

Unresolved Disappearance

Trudy was last seen getting into a car with a man, she took a swimsuit and a towel with her. Her parents suspect the father of a friend in her disappearance, David Whipple. He was with relatives at a river the day of her disappearance, and Trudy was known to have gone there with the family. Her family believes an accident may have occurred that day, although Whipple was later convicted of child molestation after Trudy's disappearance. Sadly, her mother has died without ever knowing what became of her daughter.
