We're looking at what may be one of the most interesting months (in both good and bad ways) in the U3P we've ever seen. With the possibility of conflict with yoahtl and Nox/TB/whoeversnext raiders doing their thing elsewhere on the map, defending ourselves is certainly of major importance.

This post will mostly be outlining projects unrelated to defense. For the sake of security, defensive projects will be posted on the Unitedprovincesgov subreddit. without further ado (hate that word) heres what we have on the table for this month:

>give states within the U3P the option to designate a plot of land as a "Communal Dogery" (name pending). Essentially, the land remains officially in posession of the state which it came from, and will be managed by a member of that state (designated the "Doge" of that land, again name pending), but with the requirement that any resources on that land be fully available to any U3P state. This means factories reinforced to a U3P group, farms free for any U3P member to harvest, railstations that don't lock you in, etc. In exchange for opening this land up to the U3P, other U3P states who stand to gain from this Dogery existing will contribute towards its construction and maintenance.

more here. So essentially, this will be public land for members of the U3P, where we come together and help eachother build factories and farms and let everyone use them more or less. It will tie nicely to the Embassy Drive as well as promote travel/trade/activity as well as make the U3P more accessible to newer members. My personal endgoal for this would be to centralize the facilities for the U3Pexchange.

UnfortunatelyObviously I dont have the power to force everyone to do this so I'm going to ask anyone who would wish to participate to sign up in a separate upcoming thread. [LINK GOES HERE].

In my opinion having something like this either near the portal or the hub will be great for us. I know theres already Anders and the farms at Zixusa so maybe we could possibly entertain the idea of a sort of marriage between the two there.

I went ahead and appointed /u/Sploodington to be the Grand Dogerseer of this project. Expect this idea to be more polished by the time of the sign-up post!

If the nether ever becomes safe during my term, what are peoples' opinions on building more rails, possibly a direct line to MA and others to the more recent chanadian portals?

Other than these our main focus this month will be to stay safe. I advise everyone to either avoid or be careful around the main sub. I also suggest you avoid nether travel or extensive travel through foreign cities.

DO NOT even come close to having anything to do with the Nox conflict. If you end up pearled, let me (/u/dhingus) or our lovely Secretary of defense /u/ninjajack12 know immediately!

As to the Yoahtl situation, i dont really have much to say as the U3P secgen. Wander is in charge of their own actions here and they will continue to oversee anything going on there. Of course individual states (i know blackcrown will) can intend to help wander if it ever comes to anything like that. But it would not be in the spirit of the U3P administration to actively ask people to pledge support. Hopefully everything will be dealt with quickly and peacefully so we can all sleep easy at night.

Everyone should get on the U3P slackchat, Just make some non-doxxy email and send it to modmail, myself, or anyone really theres a ton of admins on there. Its fast, easy, works on your phone, and is a great place to just talk to people about whatever. Its great for emergencies where you would need to contact someone right away.
