If you read this post, you'll know that I'm planning a harvest festival in Little Latvia. Now it's time to discuss what we want to happen during it.

First off, let's get a week nailed down.

I was thinking we could hold it on the week between Monday Oct. 27- Friday Oct. 31st. Initially I was planning on throwing some sort of Halloween bash, but I recalled that I, as well as many other people probably wouldn't be able to attend due to IRL halloween festivities.

This will give us a significant amount of time to attract businesses as well as consumers.

Next, let's talk numbers.

This isn't going to be completely free. In order to come and sell in Little Latvia, we'd ask that businesses pay a one-time fee of 3 diamonds to set up a stall. U3P sellers, however, would get first pick of location in our Town Square.

In order for this to be profitable however, we'll need people to come and buy things. Little Latvia is a bit out of the way, so we'll need good...

Transportation and Advertising

Most people from around civcraft would find it easiest to travel to Little Latvia from New Danzilona, and according to neondan, there is already work being done to connect our station in Swisston to New Danzilona.

In order for people to use transportation, we need them to first know that this is happening. To this end I ask my fellow senators to advertise this event in their towns' respective subreddits.

Once the results of this post have been finalized, I will also be bringing this event to the main subreddit. Remember, this event can showcase how much we as an organization are capable of. It'll showcase our potential as perdikkas would say.

Finally, we need some creative ideas for additional events to take place throughout the week.

Idea: an off-season (inter mural?) Hockey Game. Minecraft Hockey used to be huge in LL. It can be again. If we could organize a hockey tournament in Little Latvia on say, the wednesday during the harvest festival, I think that could attract quite a few people.

Any other ideas? Some sort of play perhaps? A spleef game? A gladiatorial tourney?
