It is time, once again, to start thinking about who will represent the United Provinces in the coming month. As you may know, the Secretary General position is one that is elected to monthly terms by the Senators of the U3P (terms start on the 1st and end on the last day of the month). Duties include:

1. To manage and organize both the general U3P subreddit as well as the government subreddit, to include but not limited to; establishing reddit rules of conduct and holding official votes.

2. To organize mumble conferences with the purpose of discussing any major issues the U3P faces.

3. To serve as a foreign representative on behalf of the U3P.

4. To assist prospective towns in their attempt to gain membership in the U3P.

5. To encourage the continued participation of senators in the official business of the U3P.

6. And to objectively mediate major disputes between U3P towns.

This thread is intended to collect nominations for the position, and to be a place for potential candidates to either introduce themselves or present their vision for the U3P under their leadership. Please submit your nominations by Sunday, April 27. There will then be a vote to determine who among the nominees will represent us in April.

Reminders: You may nominate yourself or others. You do not have to be a Senator, or have previous experience to hold this position. All residents of the U3P are encouraged to run!

On a final note, leading the U3P in this capacity is your chance to really drive the agenda for the organization. If you are unhappy with our direction or want to focus on a particular issue, this is the way to implement change.
