Good morning - for those in the U3P that don't know me all that well, I call New Danzilona home. I have been with the city since it's founding about 10 months ago (and with Danzilona on 1.0), and have been happy to see the progress that has been made in the quadrant over that time.

Perdikkas did a great job helping to get things off the ground in his first two months as Secretary General, and I'd like to build upon his efforts to help take us to the next stage as an organization. In doing so, I'd like to outline what I think are important goals and tasks for us over the next month:

• Establish a regular meeting schedule. I think two standard meetups per month is probably sufficient to do normal business. Creating a standard schedule will help Senators and residents plan attendance and agenda items well in advance. Emergency meetings will be held when needed.

• Get more people involved. When added together, the towns in the U3P contain a sizable population. I see no reason why the burden of completing projects and brainstorming new ideas should fall on such a small subset of that population. We can draw on the great ideas that all U3P residents have, get them more invested in the organization by getting them to participate, and spread the workload over a larger base.

• Finish the U3P trade spreadsheet. This is of vital importance for us to help increase economic activity and drive development in member cities.

• Finish our action items related to defense. We're now in our 2nd (and 3rd in some cases) month of talking about finishing the snitch network, the vault, and establishing a Defense Secretary. I'll work to ensure that all three of these items are completed over the next month so we can put them behind us and get to work on other security matters.

• Strengthening diplomatic ties with our neighbors. I think this is one area which all of our towns naturally do a good job. However, I think a concerted effort to build better ties with our neighbors, within the U3P framework, will be a benefit to us all.

There are many smaller issues that fit within these larger categories, but I think we really have an opportunity to grow and strengthen the organization over the coming month. We should be known not as the organization that gets bogged down by bureaucracy and inaction, but as one that gets things done.
