Hey guys I hope everyone is doing well. I'm interested in joining local 290 pipefitters. Right now I'm a Piledriver out of local 196, before that I was an ironworker. I've always been interested in this trade and like the work but I'm wondering how long is the process to get in, how busy do you guys stay, and how hard is the aptitude test? I have experience working inside and outside of paper mills, rigging and signalman experience, being in confined spaces, osha 10, osha 30, welding experience, and first aid cpr. I also own the IPT Rigging manual and determined it to be the fucking Bible of rigging pieces.
