Hello. My dissertation is due in 10 days and I’m freaking out. I have a lot of words written, but I don’t feel like it is any good. One of the problems is I think that my research question is too broad, but I can’t change this now as it has already gone through ethics.
I am doing a qualitative project using thematic analysis. I feel like my main themes are so broad. I am also struggling with the sub-themes because I don’t want to make them too similar because I’m worried about repetitiveness, but at the same time, if they are really different I feel like I will be covering too many topics.
I am also working full-time and am behind where I should be. I am going to try and ask my boss for some more time off (right now I’ve requested 4 days leave).
I’m meant to submit a draft to my supervisor Thursday morning and I’m so scared she’s going to say it’s terrible.
Any advice???
Edit: I am submitting on Wednesday and sent my supervisor a draft which she said was 'really good.' I am very relieved. She left a lot of helpful comments and I am on track to submit on time! Thanks for the advice those who responded.
