My current university routine is completely unsustainable and I’m unsure as to how I’ve gotten here. I physically cannot stay awake, but I also can’t sleep.
I find it incredibly difficult to get up in the morning and get out of bed. I chalked it up to mental health issues but I’ve realised there has to be something else going on. For example, I went to university on Monday. The Sunday before I stayed awake from the morning, through the night, then went to my classes. Upon my return home, I slept for approximately 20 hours. Usually, it’s between 12-18 hours of consecutive sleep after my classes.
Does anyone have any experience of this? What can I be doing? Am I inadvertently causing this.
Just to for extra info, I’m on antidepressants (Sertraline).
