Just asking if anybody has fallen into this situation
basically my supervisor failed to send the ethical application in time, causing my delays in getting it approved.
my supervisor doesn't help me with anything beside sending my ethic application to the local research ethics coordinator (LREC) for final approval. Problem is, he sends it too late (deadline is on 22nd of May and he only starts sending this on 2nd of May, our PROJECT starts in January)and even then he does it wrong (he sent the wrong file) TWICE! everytime he sends that incorrectly, it sets me back by at least one week. So in the end, my well planned out research procedure became a rushed mess. I already passed the date that im supposed to do the primary research, but still my ethics application is not approval, getting asked to review multiple times, it was my 8th ethics app
Anyway my deadline was imminent, I requested for a mitigation but also too late, I don't want to get an extension or resit because of a stupid paper so I submited it anyway, under my module tutor's instruction, with a section in the appendix that explained my case.
Has anybody done something like this before? did it work for you, did you get asked to resit?
