I won't go to far into detail but this always kinda freaked me out. I was at the beach with friends. Suddenly I think I'm overhearing my name being called.

I wait and listen for a few moments and it sounds like kids in trouble. Calling for help I dart towards the sounds and it takes me to a part of the lake that's a bit secluded. A little pond connected to the lake. Something about it seemed off. I searched around it to see if I could see signs of any children but nothing. The water itself seemed calm. I was fighting these two urges inside me. One was telling me to jump in. The other was telling me that if I did. No one was going to find me again. I slowly back away just in case any signs of trouble emerged but nothing.

To this day I still wonder what actually happened. I still feel a pang of guilt but deep down I knew that I made the right call.
