ULPT Request How to make things hard for terrible apartment management
Post Body

I live in a complex that gives off the appearance of being ā€œniceā€. Itā€™s really not once youā€™ve signed a lease and lived here long enough to see the true colors of the management and the way the grounds is kept.

So we have trash valet. Put the trash can out every night Sunday-Thursday and it gets emptied and then we bring the empty can back in the next morning. When I say that nobody brings the can back in, I mean it. Allll of my neighbors have their trash cans sitting outside at allll hours. Every few months the management will send an email saying that starting a specific day they will start charging $25 for anyone who doesnā€™t bring their can in by 9am. So everyone follows directions for a week or so. Management never walks around checking so everyone starts leaving them out again and nothing ever happens. So recently they sent out the email saying theyā€™re going to start checking again and charging $25 each time the can is left out. Cool. So I bring the can in. Two days later I completely forgot and got an email at like 11am with a warning and a picture of my can outside my door. Oopsie.

Fast forward a day or two and I had a note on my door the next morning from the trash valet company saying that they donā€™t pick up bulk trash. Bulk trash is basically anything that doesnā€™t fit into a trash bag and inside your 13 gallon trash can. The only exception is boxes ONLY if they are broken down. For example, I once put out a tiny broken foot stool and they didnā€™t take it. They just left a note saying no bulk trash. So when the other day when I got this note saying no bulk trash, I was confused because the only thing out there besides my actual bag of trash was a broken down box that was tucked behind the trash can(it was noticeable though). I was annoyed because broken down boxes are allowed(I put them out probably weekly) but I took it to the dumpster myself. Nowww here comes the reason for this post. A few days after that(this morning) I get an email from the management saying that I will be charged $25 for not complying with the trash services rules. I replied telling them it was a broken down box and they need to remove the charge. She replied saying that she couldnā€™t because I received a warning 7 days ago! The warning was for something completely different. BROKEN DOWN BOXES are allowed!! When I tell you that Iā€™m LIVID, itā€™s an understatement! These fucking money hungry assholes have pissed me off. They charge so much money for everything and this complex isnā€™t even taken care of that well! Now I need help in a way that I can make the managements life extremely hard. They are soooo ridiculous. Currently all of the 7 neighbors I have on my half of the building have their trash cans out since last night! This place is a joke. I want to leave them the nastiest review with all of the fucking ridiculous shit they do. Help me with some unethical tips!

Let me just add, Iā€™m a great tenant! I never complain. Only request maintenance when itā€™s truly needed. Pay rent on time. Iā€™m very quiet. Get along with my neighbors.
