So basically, I want to find a way to nonviolently get revenge from the shadows, because I’ve been a bit of a doormat for most of my life and it’s not healthy. Ideally something that could fracture the friend group or ruin his relationship, but if there’s some other more material or petty thing I can do, that would be awesome. Just anything as long as it’s nonviolent, mainly legal, and I can do it without contacting these people, as I want to respect that boundary. I am also still decent friends with his roomate who is part of the group, and I’m scared of losing him, so if this could somehow not affect him, that would be awesome

CONTEXT:

So long story short, within the first three weeks of transferring to a new college, I got exiled from a super familial friend group that adopted me almost immediately upon arrival. It was because of some stuff I did/said while stoned off my gourd at a party that pissed off the “leader”’of the friend group. Honestly, his anger was justified. The first thing was admittedly just me being an absolute douchecanoe (he said he was greening out and I was making him green out more and told me to stop acting all hyper/loud/annoying him and I just kept going after that. Dick move, would never do that while sober because I’m usually really good with boundaries but that’s still not an excuse)and the second thing was a really dumb misunderstanding that when interpreted the way it was interpreted, I could understand why it would piss someone off (he thought I was flirting with his man. Yes, I was giving his man a lot of pretty sappy compliments, but it was friend stuff about being happy to get to know him more and him being cool.) But this fucker decided to kick me out of the entire friend group the next morning, kick me out of two GCs, told me never to talk to him again, and almost all of the people in this friend group blocked me over it except for two. The first thing I did/said was my fault and was pretty bad, and the second misunderstanding was really bad even if it was dumb, yes, I will admit that i fucked up and that his feelings are mainly valid, but it was the type of thing that could have easily been solved by talking through it and hugging it out, and handling it like adults as opposed to straight up exile. And I know most of our friends are mutuals, but he still has NO fucking right to take friends away from me over something that doesn’t even involve them, that’s just petty. The crime doesn’t fit the punishment so to speak, and that’s why I’m pissed.

EDIT: I still hate him but I I understand him. Getting revenge in this case would do nothing but create a dumb cycle of hatred and take things too far. That’s how this whole thing started- shit immediately going from zero to one hundred. I don’t need to take it to two hundred. I’m in a big ass school in a midsize city and I could find more friends, maybe I even dodged a bullet. To an extent, I think they might have too, maybe I’m not a good fit for large friend groups as euphoric as they seem at first, and I think I just need to realize that. I do need to work on myself and analyze how this can not happen again, which I’ve been doing. I think it’s still valid for me to be really pissed about this, and I still maintain that exiling me was fucking overkill, especially since im a lot less douchey when sober, but letting that full on blind me from my role in this would create problems. Thanks for talking me out of revenge y’all.
