Hey guys. I’m coming here because I need advice on how to legally deal with my father once and for all. My brothers and mom are financially dependent on my dad and he’s been abusive to them for years. He went to jail twice for hitting my mom and didn’t receive any repercussions due to my mom expunging the case due to lack of financial support. She can’t divorce unless she has guarantee that she’ll receive half his money otherwise she’ll commit suicide. She only started working two years ago because my dad cut her off because she wasn’t obedient. She doesn’t have enough saved up to get a place or start a new life, and she support my brothers financially because my dad refuses to spend a penny on them. She wasn’t allowed to work, and was forced to be a SAHM her whole marriage. I’m 22 looking to start a job out of college and am currently powerless because I’m unable to help my mom or brother’s financially. I’m back home from college and home is worse than ever. Is there a legal way to force my dad to pay for my brothers college? He’s cutting them off because he thinks that they’re siding with my mom, and these kids are seniors in high school so they need financial support and he’s been absent. I need to make this son of a bitch pay for his actions and get my mom the money from the divorce and get my brothers college paid for. Please help I’m begging you all. I have no idea what to do and I hate watching my mom and siblings feel trapped in their own house. I need to gain an edge over him to bed him to our will and get him out of our lives for good. Enough is enough.
