Subject: You can soon receive additional PEUC benefits.
A computer system update in the coming days will give you additional PEUC benefits to claim. If you have used up your PEUC benefits, this update will give you new weeks going forward AND pay for the weeks that have passed between Jan. 2 and today. What you need to do now
- Continue filing weekly claims. This update will automatically add benefits to your claim. You will not need to reapply or take other action to receive these benefits as long as you continue to be eligible each week.
- If you receive a request for more information, please respond. The system update won’t change the requirement that you respond before the deadline we give you.
What you will see in eServices on or before Feb. 1 While we roll out these benefits, you may see some changes in eServices.
- As we pay you for any past weeks you are eligible for PEUC benefits, the status for those weeks will become “Paid”.
- In the Benefits tab of your claim, you will see additional funds in the PEUC row.
- You will receive a new Monetary Determination Letter for PEUC called a Monetary Redetermination. You don’t need to take any action on this letter. This letter will show:
- A change in your maximum benefits.
- The extended time that PEUC is available.
- You may also receive a letter explaining that we have re-evaluated your claim. In most cases, this is a formality as we add PEUC benefits to your account. You don’t need to take any action on this letter, but you do need to respond to our questions if you see them in your alerts.
Thank you for your patience as we work to deliver these new benefits. For more information, check our website at esd.wa.gov/covid-faq for updates and frequently asked questions.
