Thought I’d share some good news: after first applying for UI benefits on April 11, I discovered that on Wednesday, June 3rd, $1268.00 was deposited into my account from WA State ESD UI benefits!
Yay!
This is less than a week after someone from ESD called me (as I posted on this thread) to clarify some questions on my application.
One question though -and I am by no means complaining: where did they get the figure $1268? My weekly benefit amount is $444. I applied 7 or 8 weeks ago. (I separately also applied for PUA, weekly amount is also $444.) So....???
Do they take something out for taxes? Is it three weeks worth, minus a little for...?
EDIT: Alright, I had to dig around, but apparently this is from three payments in March, one of which was only 380 and the other two 444. . These are from PUA claim, not my UI claim (I’m claiming both, unemployed and out of work independent contractor).
Still wasn’t easy to find but hey!
Thanks everyone for chiming in. Hope you get paid soon too!
