Shortly before the COVID-19 crisis and mandatory quarantine orders, I had quit my job, expecting to find work (I believe this was March 5 or so). Unfortunately, it's very difficult to find a job in the field that I want because a lot of employers are not hiring, and a lot of people are being laid off.

I tried to file for unemployment, but I don't apparently qualify because I technically quit and it was before the COVID-19 crisis.

Is there anything I can do to qualify, or should I just abandon my career for now and settle for working at a grocery store or something? It's going to be hard because I have a ton of bills and having a grocery store job is not going to cover even half the bills I need to pay. I'll need to work 3 jobs at minimum wage to get to where I was before, and I was already struggling..

Thank you.
