[Illinois] So what happens when Unemployment cuts you off?

Post Body

I've been on unemployment since July/August 2023. After 4 years and staying at my job till the ship sank, I was getting $420 every two weeks. Oh wait sorry, I'm only getting $390 every two weeks because of taxes. I was hoping I'd find a job a long time ago, but nothing. It's rough out there, and don't listen to people that say, "It's easy to get a job." Clearly, it's not. Anyway, since I've been on it a while, I'm starting to get worried they're going to pull the plug on me soon, so I was wondering what comes after that? Am I just out of luck then? $390 living in Chicago is nothing in the first place, but it's better than nothing.

Comments

I think March is it for me. I’ve been having a hard time finding something as well.
