My 2nd year. Doing a 12a game. Pitcher hop steps for a pick off to F3.
Overthrown and bases awarded, defensive coach says a hop step is different than stepping off the back and therefor still a pitcher and it's only 1 base
Any help here
To clarify
Hop step, remains disengaged and in front of the pitching plate, throws to f3, thrown ball goes OOP,.
Are we awarding 1 base as a pitcher Or Are we awarding 2 bases as a fielder, same as if he stepped off the back
So I assume a hop step is disengaged
Are you familiar with the Hop step or the jump step whatever you guys sounds like other people call it different thing
