Stairs for hill training
Post Body

Ran Boston : now trying first ultra. It has 3 climbs of approx 2,000 / 2000 /3000 ft over 40miles with another 1000ft of elevation. I live in a city with few hills; there is one spot that I can drive to that has 450 stairs up an escarpment. Can doing stairs to get appropriate elevation be equivalent to hill training or do they utilize different muscles? Do I need to find actual running hills? Thx
