i have about 150usd to invest in lighter gear, any ideas? perhaps something to make my thin down jacket warmer so i don't have to use the really heavy expedition jacket? maybe a down vest that i can have underneath?
we only have sun from 8am-3pm so i spend quite a lot of time just chilling in camp getting cold
yeah in this case i would use it under my active puffer at camp as its not warm enough when not moving
yeah baselayer is wool(merino?). its wet atm so cant weigh it.hiking at 600m quite a bit into nordmarka
yeah the double down jacket that i'm useing seems a it stupid, ideally my active layer was both my camp jacket and normal jacket, another person here recommended that i change the active puffer to a wool layer instead which i'll try out. Oh and ditch the water filter and just boil snow
also boots or low? snow in the shoes is a pain
sure, i intend to attach a Moulder Strip so that it can go down much further, no need to buy a separate stove
i use my waterproofs/windproof on the outside of my puffer, i could perhaps fit a puffer under my lightweight down jacket but it might compress the down, that would allow med to ditch the 1kg puffer jacket though
i have a 80g stove :https://www.outnorth.no/urberg/rogen-lightweight-gasburner
no idea how efficient it is
i do however use a 30g stand and a 50g handle as i've tipped over my stove and lost my food before. The 50g handle for a 90g pot is quite stupid though
ah yeah i should actually do this, too bad that i have to pay import taxes from the EU ;_; will have to pay 25% and a customs fee i think making the process quite a lot more expensive
water filter is a really good idea! actually since there is snow outside i can probably just ditch it altogether? Can they get ruined if frozen?
hard waterbottle is for warm water during the night, can i just use a normal store one? it wont melt and leak?
wow that stove is crazy light, i have to use more gass to melt snow though, the loss in efficiency will require more gass no? other than that weights are pretty similar.
i have a ghetto wool sweater i'll use instead, thanks for the good tips an bothering to look it through

ah i did not know that, smart tip! to strip down/up every time is quite annoying using it on the outside solves that. really nice lighter pack, our base weight is almost identical except my tent is heavier, and with a heavier sleeping mat and bag, what with all the extra weight? is there something critical i am missing? for instance the 340g washing gear, i have 0?
