Are Sawyer's "advanced backflushing" strategies safe to use on the Platypus Quickdraw?

Post Body
I just came back from a sediment full trip in NorCal, and my 3 year old Quickdraw is starting to slow down even with backflushing.
I know Sawyer recommends 140F water and vinegar backflushes to get the major grime out, is there any reason that would damage the Platypus Quickdraw? My understanding is the filter technology is the exact same, but I'm not sure about the plastics and solvents in the case.
