My partner and I (6β3β) are looking for the right tent to start with to go hiking in the Pyrenees. The Mongar 2 proved to be too tight in length (ended up being 10cm shorter than what is described online) and width when we set it up at home . Iβm thinking that since we are going together we can get something bigger/heavier and divide the weight
Iβve narrowed down my choices to two tents:
Tungsten 3p: - 400 eur due to import fees - 90β or 225cm long - 2.8kg and 7βx23β in packing size
Forclaz mt900 3p dome: - 380 eur - 80β or 205cm long (might be too short) - warranty of 5 years -2.8kg and 7x18β in packing size
Iβm leaning towards the longer Tungsten. DAE know if the length is true in size and if itβs good for tall people in general?
Is it a good entry level trekking tent for a couple at this price?
