I have a narrow heel and wide forefoot and it is a struggle to find shoes that fit. Right now my go to’s for on-trail are Topo Athletics and in the past Brooks have fit well too, but I’m looking for something a little beefier and grippier that can handle off-trail in the high Sierra. I recently ordered the La Sportiva Mutants and I want to love them - the heel fits perfectly, but they are just too tight in the forefoot. I have used the Ultra raptors in the past - they were still a little tight in the forefoot but they fit well enough, but the rubber, which is great, wears out so quick so I’m looking for something different.
