I am looking for a ultralight freestanding tent preferably for two persons that works well in windy and rainy conditions. It will mostly be used in the nordic countries (and Iceland). I already have some tents in mind but none of them seem to be a "perfect fit" (there might not be one).
So far the Slingfin Portal 2 seems to be the best with a weight of around 1,5 kg but I am wondering if there are lighter options.
Samaya Assault2 Ultra is the lightest freestanding tent I have found but there are some obvious drawbacks (except the price) like there being no mesh inner against bugs and possibly a lot of condensation.
I have also looked at some Hilleberg tents like the Niak and while its probably "bomb proof" it's on the heavier side (1,8 kg).
So are there any "better" and lighter tents out there that could fit my criteria?
