I recently got a month off from school coming up(July 26th-August 24th) and am looking to do a hike outside of the states since I don't know when I'll get this much time off again. I did a 500 mile LASH of the PCT 2 summers ago and really enjoyed that. Felt like a good balance of social and being able to solo hike when I wanted. I am a little short on time since I am finishing up finals at school up until July25th so I can't do my normal due diligence on researching a hike.
-Camino de Santiago: seems the most accessible and easiest to navigate for last minute planning. Seems to check the box for a social trail but am concerned it might be too crowded form what I have read.
-Lycian Way: This one was the most appealing to me but was reading that it could be too hot this time of year and that there are better times to go. Also concerned about properly planning this one while finishing my school stuff. Don't mind the dogs since my friends dog took a good chunk out of my thigh last year haha.
-Transcaucasian trail: looked amazing too but I feel like I wouldn't have enough time to do proper planning for this one on top of my other school obligations between now and July 25th. Can anyone comment on how complicated the logistics of this trail are? trialto
-HRP: This looked good too but was unsure if I could finish it in time.
I am open to anything/anywhere so if you have ideas in Asia or South America I would love ot hear them
Thanks!
