Powerbank vs Backup Cell Phone

Post Body
An iPhone with a 5k mAh battery capacity weighs 1oz more than a 5k mAh powerbank from Nitecore. But the iPhone can also function as a backup navigation device, in case your main cell phone were to get damaged (dropped in water, lost, hardware issues etc)... What do you guys think about carrying a backup cell phone instead of a powerbank? Especially for those hikers who are not well versed with map/compass navigation and rely on their phone (all trails / gaia) for navigation?
