I'm in the process of comparing down quilts that can achieve around 0°C comfort ratings.
Liteway has by far the least amount of down fill AND their *comfort* rating is -2°C.
Their 870FP quilt has 280g and their 850FP has 300g.
To compare:
Hyberg's -2°C (*comfort*) quilt uses 450g of 850FP down. So it uses 150g more of down to achieve the same rating as Liteway's.
A Rock Front quilt uses 350g of 870FP Down and it's rated for 4°C (*comfort*). So this one has 170g more but is 6 degrees above Liteway's.
Enlightened Equipment Enigma 30 uses 350g of 850FP and it's rated for -1°C (cannot find if this is comfort or limit). Knowing that american companies advertise with limit instead of comfort I assume the comfort rating is actually higher.
SO, how is Liteway in fact achieving -2°C? Now to be fair the Liteway website does say "The Sleeping Quilt is designed for a comfort temperature of -2°C" so that allows a lot of leeway but after comparing their product's material weights, it just doesn't make any sense. I've only found one German on youtube who said the quilt was overrated and felt more like realistically it was a 3°C quilt. Video here.
Feedback from people who have used Liteway's quilt and other equally rated quilts which have more down would be highly appreciated.
