My girlfriend and I are looking for sleep systems as were both getting into backpacking together. We plan on hiking mostly together, but would like the option of camping with other friends which rules out a two person sleeping quilt like the enlightened equipment accomplice.

We would love some recommendations for sleeping quilts that can be used both individually and zipped together. We'd also like to minimize their weight and packed size as much as possible.

We live in a warm state but eventually want to camp in much colder seasons so picking a temperature rating that is versatile has been hard. Advice on this would also be appreciated :)

Its also possible a sleeping bag makes more sense although I see a lot of people say quilts are better. For bags, we were looking at the Nemo disco 15/30.
