Basically title. My friend gets tilted out of the universe by high bug pressure and since we do most of our backpacking in the Sierras I suggested that he find an ultralight solution that will let him (and me!) have a place to hang out in the evening and also double as a shelter since bug pressure will be biblical this year. I have a BD MegaLight for a winter shelter but the MLD Supermid is a bit taller so the innernet for that wouldn't be ideal, and he wants his own independent setup anyway.
Goal is to have something we can hang out in in the evening that he can also use as shelter after we're done, so weight penalty would be mitigated substantially. Obvious solution is an MLD Supermid innernet combo, but curious to see if other people have other ideas. We'd bring the MegaLight for winter camping so I think silpoly would be great, he'd probably be willing to shell out for DCF but if anyone knows of a large silpoly mid that'd probably be ideal.
Curious to hear other everyone's thoughts recommendations, thanks in advance.
