So far I have settled for a Litesmith 600ml jar and another 16oz tall, narrow container for making flavored drinks or shakes during the day when the other one is soaking my dinner. Both these containers are straight-sided so they are easy to clean with water-tight screw top lids so I can shake the fck out of them.
This seems like a good system but it bugs me it takes so much space. I guess all cook systems take up too much space. I have dehydrated and vacuum sealed my own meals. My food takes up significantly less space than usual. It's amazing how much space ziplocks add compared to vacuum sealed food. So I guess it evens out.
I should say this is perfect but I can't help thinking there has to be a better system. Have you found a perfect cold soak system?
