x-mid 2p corner lines keep slipping, won't stay tensioned
Post Body

Hello all,

I recently got an x-mid 2p. I've set it up a couple of times in my backyard, and just got back from a quick overnight backpacker trip with it. Every time I have set it up for some reason I couldn't keep the 4 corner guy lines tensioned. They just kept slipping in the tensioner so I had to basically stake it out with the 4 corner lines all the way out.

When I got home from this trip I tried replacing one of the corner guylines with some 1.8mm dyneema/polyester line I had lying around, hoping it would hold better. It didn't, probably because IIRC the corner guy lines that come with the tent are 2.0 or 2.5mm, so 1.8mm is probably too small for the tensioner.

Replacing the tensioner itself look to be a big pain because it's sewn to fly.

Anybody else experience this kind of slippage or have any ideas on how to fix it?

edit: Somebody ask for pics. Here are a few I just took. It seems that the cordage is too large to fit well in the "slot" on the tensioner. Think I will try some of the Ironwire or Lawson glowire also that as also been mentioned
