It seems to be getting more thruhikers in the past couple of years, but I still hear about it rather infrequently. And it sounds like it's still fairly rough going in spots, eg bushwhacking, some resupply challenges, some roadwalking on Hwy 1, a bit of private property, etc.
The California weather situation is looking like there are going to be a lot of flipflops on the PCT this year, and I'm wondering how much experience a person should have before setting out on the Condor, and whether or not it's a good recommendation for a side trip to pass a few weeks while the Sierra melts out a bit.
Does anyone have current information about the trail, or sections of it? I already tried a reddit search of r/ul and checked the Condor Trail site, looking for more info.
Thanks.
